Based on the European Language Common Reference Framework (CEFR), and aligned with the US Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Kiddoland adheres to rigorous standards while providing something different: a choice. Learners can choose their own topics and navigate the curriculum freely, which ensures that they are always motivated.

The curriculum is a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) program that puts fluency first, by focusing on topics that fascinate kids. We learn language, not about language, by finding out what interests learners and using their acquired competences as a vehicle to explore.

Experience a vibrant online learning journey, where each topic unfolds in three dynamic real-time classes.

The initial session introduces language targets through engaging activities such as songs, videos, and games.

The second class delves deeper into the topic with interactive discussions, online searches, or gamified activities, fostering curiosity to learn something unique.

In the final class, learners apply their knowledge by reading thematically related graded readers or presenting their recent discoveries in a text or a talk.
Explore
As we move on to new topics, learners recycle and reinforce their knowledge through an independent project, ranging from creative crafts to rigorous research. Our approach is designed to not only enrich but also captivate kid’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
ENTER the dragon
As learners enter our program, and progress through it, they unlock achievements and get recognized for their abilities. We award “dragons” as learners marshal the language arts of their respective fluency level, from absolute beginner to intermediate mastery.
Our initial pre-A1 CEFR level, focuses on building foundational skills. At this level, learners:
- develop awareness of English phonetic system, as distinct from their native language
- grasp sound-symbol relationships
- master the alphabet
- acquire simple writing skills
Extensive support is provided through simplified input, slow, clear speech, repetition, and aids such as pictures, teaching prompts, and Total Physical Response (TPR) gestures, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of simple words and structures, culminating in the ability to communicate in English for the first time.
In our pre-A1+ CEFR level for young learners (ages 6-8), intentional teaching, motivational strategies, and engaging activities build upon the foundational skills from the previous level. We focus on comprehending short yet complete utterances tied to immediate needs, personal details, and relevant topics when spoken slowly and clearly. Through our dynamic approach, learners communicate using a basic range of memorized words, short phrases, gestures, and actions. We expand their social formulae repertoire with greetings, thanks, and apologies. Additionally, we emphasize recognizing and writing familiar words and short phrases, ensuring a balanced development of their language skills. This level add meaningful progress through targeted instruction and purposefully designed activities for their individual needs.
In our A1 CEFR level for young learners (ages 6-8), language acquisition advances significantly. Using engaging teaching methods, motivational strategies, and customized activities, learners progress toward independent communication skills beyond memorized language chunks. We foster a vocabulary of concrete words, simple phrases, and functional language for personal details, routine situations, and familiar topics like school and interests. Our approach goes beyond familiar themes, allowing exploration of new subjects. We provide simplified input, clear, slow speech, and structured support—utilizing visuals, cues, prompts, and models. Ensuring comprehension and effective responses, our program paves a seamless journey to fluency, empowering young learners in their language development.
In our A2 CEFR level for young learners (ages 6-8), our intentional teaching methods, motivating strategies, and purposeful activities guide them as they expand their English proficiency. Although still reliant on simplified input and structured support, learners actively broaden their knowledge. Their dependency on speakers adjusting speed and clarity persists for comprehension, but they exhibit growing control and confidence. Our curriculum ensures a strategic approach to language development, emphasizing comprehension and meaningful interaction. With a deliberate focus on teaching, motivation, and engaging activities, young learners navigate this stage with purpose, setting the foundation for continued linguistic growth.
In our A2+ CEFR level for young learners (ages 8-11), our deliberate teaching, motivating approaches, and engaging activities propel them towards becoming Independent users. Distinct at this level is their reduced dependence on speakers modifying language for communication. A2+ learners actively participate in routine social exchanges, sustaining longer monologues with some assistance. They express ideas, exchange information, and make themselves understood on familiar topics, utilizing a growing range of grammar structures and sentence patterns. Our curriculum, driven by intentional instruction and dynamic activities, fosters this transition, empowering young learners with increased autonomy and linguistic capability.
In our B1 CEFR level for young learners (ages 8-11), independence takes center stage through our deliberate teaching, motivation, and dynamic activities. Learners showcase the ability to maintain interaction and communicate effectively across various contexts, navigating less predictable situations. Proficient in producing longer, complex sentences, they exhibit a broadened lexical range, developing the grammatical and lexical tools to organize discourse. Our curriculum strategically cultivates these skills, empowering young learners to express themselves with confidence, adaptability, and linguistic sophistication, ensuring their journey towards proficiency is marked by intentional instruction and engaging learning experiences.
